Station 23-1 had a busy weekend that started Friday night with a commercial MVC in Logan Township. Rescue 2318 was special called to Rt. 322 & Rt. 295 for an overturned tractor trailer. The rescue company crew assisted District 18 and Station 25-1 in extricating the driver from an overturned tractor trailer carrying steel. Just prior to the crash, Station 23-1 handled an alarm system on South Main Street. Later that evening the Station was dispatched again to a crash on Woodstown Road. That assignment was handled by 2318 and 2313. 23101 had command and a large tree had to be removed from the roadway. The station went available around 2300 hours. While covering Station 25-1 for a great cause on Saturday(Mario's Lemonade Stand), Station 23-1 responded to 2 alarm systems in Woolwich Township including 2 alarms within our District with Station 23-2. The day ended on Saturday with an overturned pick up truck on Mill Road.Rescue 2318 responded along with 2315, 2328, 2 BLS units and LS 3. 23103 had command and the 2 patients were packaged and transported to Cooper trauma for evaluation. Sunday brought a smoke investigation on Clems Run Road and a small brush fire on Bridgeton Pike that was handled by the District.
